Lydd Speedway Memorial Trophy and 2012 Veterans Championship

The dates have now been confirmed for the
2012 Lydd speedway memorial trophy and the 2012 Veterans Riders
Open Championship. The memorial meeting will be held on Saturday
1st September starting at 3.30pm, while the Veterans Championship
will be staged on Saturday 22nd September with a slightly later
start time of 4.30pm. Riders wishing to enter either meeting please
click on the membership link above and fill in the race meeting
entry form. The Memorial Trophy is open to all classes applicable
from last season, The Veterans might have a 500cc Laydown support
class depending the number of entries we get for the main meeting.

Baldock wins the 2011 Lydd Speedway Club Championship

The Lydd Speedway Club Championship went down to the wire during
a windy and rainy day in New Romney. Series leader Adam Sheppard
and Connor Dugard could not beat their previous high scores
and Mark Baldock levelled the series going into the A final.
Mark made no mistake and scored the points necessary to overtake
Adam in the series and secure his second Lydd Speedway Club
Championship title. Adam Sheppard and Connor Dugard slotted
in to second and third respectively. Paul Hubbard won the 200cc
over 15 title while Graham Knowler won the Upright class. Kenny
Bowdery was unable to attend due to food poisoning but had enough
points to win the 200cc under 15 class. Full updates and Championship
Standings have been updated.

Veterans Printable Racecard
We have a
completed Racecard available to go with the programmes sold
at the 2011 Veterans championship at Lydd. The programme had
to be changed on the day due to the amount of riders we had,
