Congratulations to Malcolm Smith on retaining
the 2 Valve Championship crown ahead of Ted Ede and Steve Cook.
It was a fantastic final race with Malcolm Smith storming from
last to first in one lap and holding on. Derrick Keyes was desperately
unlucky after top scoring in the qualifiers, he lead the final
before slipping to second and falling. Gary O’Hare stormed
into the final with a 4 ride maximum, he gated like a rocket blew
everyone away to secure the 4 Valve crown. Richard Hutley passed
Graham Wilson for second while defending champion Martyn Smith
was stuck in last behind a fantastic race. Results and printabe

Sunday
8th April 2011
Anyone
who attended the first championship round will know that Event

has helped save so many lives; it could strike at any time to
anyone. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years;
with a little help

Jamie
Dixon out for 3 months with boken tibia
Friday
29th April 2011
Weymouth
based youngster Jamie Dixon will be out injured for 3 months after
a horror crash in The Lydd Club Championship round 1. The injury
was sustained after colliding with Adam Sheppard on the last lap
entering turn 3. The Ambulance crew where on the scene straight
away along with the riders, Jamie was suffering a lot of pain
in his left leg. After a long delay he was taken to hospital by
a county ambulance for further examination. X-rays show he has
broken his tibia, the largest bone in the leg connecting the knee
with the ankle. He hope’s to be out of casts by the end
of June and in training to return mid July. Everybody at Lydd
wishes Jamie a speedy recovery and we hope to see him line up
in the fourth championship round at the end of July.

Mark
Baldock in a class of his own
Sunday
24th April 2011
Mark Baldock began the defence of his championship
crown with a faultless 18 point maximum on Sunday. Mark, who won
Malcolm Smith’s birthday bash last September showed no signs
of pressure winning all his race's comfortably from the start.
It was an incredibly hot day and the racing was difficult thanks
to the dry surface. The meeting got off to a horrible start when
Weymouth based youngster Jamie Dixon crashed heavily in heat 3.
Jamie was taken to hospital with a suspected broken left leg.
Kenny Bowdery won the under 200cc class while Martyn Smith led
the way in the upright class. Paul Hubbard won the Under 200c
over 15 class, the class was a charity event for Cancer Research.
